Today was such a good day. Painted all day (almost) and got quite a bit done on the horses. But, like Jack said, "It has a long way to go." I didn't want to stop, but started getting more paint on me than on the canvas, plus it needed to dry some. Right in the middle of painting, I see both dogs at the long den window, just going nuts. Couldn't hear them because I was listening to Chris Thomas King at full blast, but by their frantic behavior, I knew I had a crisis situation. Looked out the window to find a skinny grey cat fishing in my pond!!!! I about took an earring out pulling the earbuds out of my ear. Ran, yelling "Get him, get him!" to the dogs. Hazel chased that scrawny cat all over the back yard but he flew over the fence to safety and had the nerve to sit and taunt poor Hazel. I counted my fish and all 14 were there AND two of the three babies. Sprayed that liquid fence all around the pond and boy, i hope it gets cold tonight because that un-Godly stink of garlic and everything else gaggy in it, is perforating the house like I scared a skunk. Enough to gag a maggot.
Anyway, all-in-all a good day. If you read this blog and you are an artist, please share your painting experience with me in a comment. I would love to share.
