OK, almost done with another horse picture. Thank God for my buddy, Maggie. We went to an art show the other night and she stopped in here and gave me some helpful hints on the bone structure of a horse. Working on her (my pretty horse, the 'Nippenose Princess'), I was so stuck on the face. I worked night after night, I should say; re-worked night after night, to the point I was ready to tear my hair out. But, Maggie was very helpful and then yesterday I put to use all the suggestions she gave me. So, even though she's a little blurry, and a bit of a glare on her hind end, she is almost done. Giving her a day to dry and then tomorrow I should have her finished.
Maggie and I had a great time Friday night. We both had artwork in the Station Gallery and we headed out for the opening. On the way we stopped at Valley Gallery so Maggie could have some work made into prints. Then we stopped at Maggie's in-laws to say HI to Jim who was visiting his parents and hunting. Then we picked up Maggie's sister-in-law at a McDonalds in McElhatten and headed to the show. Deb Trate had convinced us to all wear furs and we did. We looked like hookers for halloween! So funny! Bought a painting from Tom Worth (wonderful realistic painter). After the show we went with Deb and Peg (Maggie's sister-in-law) to dinner at Stella's in Lock Haven. Great food! What a wonderful time. We laughed all evening. Let's do it again, girls!
