So, I started another horse painting just yesterday and I am loving it so far. I shouldn't say that, might jinx it. But this one is all about the horse and background contrast. You will see! While I was driving through the Amish territory to get to Don's gallery yesterday, I came across some Amish men on a big plow or manure spreader hooked to 4 big horses and the dust was flying! They were beautiful but I couldn't take their picture because it wouldn't be polite and then, less than 1/4 of a mile further, I saw an Amish school house with all the little children running across the field and down lanes to their homes following a long day at school. They were perfect but again, I couldn't disrespect them by taking a picture. You know, I couldn't help thinking to myself, I wonder why those cute little kids are still in school an hour after out kids are already home.
Hmmm, I wonder if their teacher's evaluation is made up in part by how well their student's do on their test scores. I wonder if that teacher has had every inch of her creative ability sucked out of her very being by some pompous bureaucrat who thinks that a well rounded student is one who scores the highest.
Oh, wow, where did that come from? Time for bed, kiddies!
